Cameras with recognition software

Human Recognition Sensor

 FEATURES

  • Human recognition or motion
  • For activation or safety
  • Activation area setting by WiFi with optional notification
  • IR night vision mode
  • Streamed video with one way audio

This HR sensor is the first of a new class of devices using advanced video AI processing. The sensor is taught  Humans Recognition (HR) from general back ground motion. Applications are safety warning, intruder detection, and activation by humans only.

Relay output

A unique feature is the relay output that can control an automation system directly, making integration simple wiring. Technology may be complex but the installation could not be simpler. A smartphone app can stream video live and receive detection notifications but the camera operates independently.

Sensitivity

Human bias sensitivity sets the priority between “human only” bias to “any motion” in 4 settings. Human bias and output sense (N/O or N/C) can be set using a button on the back of the sensor.

HRS for gate safety

A unique application for the Human Recognition Sensor (HRS) is to monitor the area around an automated gate. The output relay can be set normally closed suitable for a control panel saefty input.

This sensor is for auxilliary safety. It should not be used as the only form of safety.

The field of view can be cropped to he risk zone, in this case within the swing of the gate. Only humans sensed in the zone will activate the output. It ignores the gate movement or vehicles.

Facial Recognition Camera

FEATURES

  • 500 user facial recognition by remote
  • “Live body” hi integrity mode
  • IR night vision mode
  • 3 recognition levels, hi rec’ to any face
  • Adjustable field of view up to 3.5m

A facial recognition camera stores facial data of each of the users. The realy output can activate a door or turnstile when the live face matches the data points stored.

Users naturally look up to the camera as they approach, as they did when their image was stored. The camera can store 500 users.

Simple programming

Letting your client add or delete users via a secure remote device sets new possibilities of security. The remote can also be used for door control, and to hold the door open.

Application

This camera can be used on doors or turnstiles for extra fast access where security and speed are essential. There are 4 levels of facial recognition also set by the remote. The higher the security, the longer the check takes, so traffic is slower. Security level can be reduced during high traffic levels.

Live body

Live body mode monitors movement during the recognition process. The AI will reject a photo of the users face.

Night vision

The camera includes low light level compensation.

Number Plate Recognition

NPR the gold standard

The ultimate vehicle recognition technology is NPR, because it identifies the vehicle, not the driver, or an ID device inside the vehicle.

NPR is accurate when it makes a positive ID, but some poor plates will come back with no positive ID. The security is underwritten by the state's intollerance of missing, damaged, or false plates.

NPR  car park camera

Applications

Most NPRs are found on private car parks providing fast access to regular users. More recently, revenue car parks are using NPR in place of ticket dispensers. This also includes limited stay facilities such as transport hub drop off areas. There are 11,000 cameras on public roads in UK for traffic and speed enforcement.

Accuracy

When NPR was first introduced in UK in 1981 when cameras had poor resolution and recognition software was slow. Accuracy is still not 100%.

State of art

It is not surprising that the phone in your pocket can upload an NPR app. The software is embedded in bullet cameras available at a price that is accessibly to domestic gate automation. Learning a new number plate however is still likely to be via a data from a laptop or tablet.

Position

Night view cameras are excellent, but no match for the glare of a car headlight on full beam. So cameras need to be positioned facing downwards towards the plate and at a distance of greater than 3m.
